If you are considering purchasing a unit in this building make sure it is on the top floor only The structure noise will send you over the edge You can hear everything that is happening above you Read the minutes of the meetings and in there you will find structure noise complaints and there is nothing that can be done Great area nice location BUT the noise It doesn't matter if there are carpeted floors above you the noise is still there

I can't comment on the sound tranfer through the floors as I live on the top floor This is a wood frame building so its definitely not sound proof However I don't know if the previous commenter has lived in another muli dwelling wood frame building and whether or not this one is worse When I purchased my suite last year I have not read anything regarding noise complaints in the 2 years of strata minutes Over the past few months however there was mention of a noise dispute between two parties in the minutes All I can say is my suite on the top floor is very quiet My suite is between 2 others and I very seldomly hear activity from my neighbours I can only hear people when they are in the hallways Overall the building is well maintained and well managed with a proactive strata council The parkade envelope was remediated a few years ago with a new waterproof membrane
