We rented 3 condos June 6 9 2011 for a family reunion of 24 people 4 generations celebrating our 50th anniversary the cost was over 8 000 Unit 5 is beach front and that was our unit other members of the family were in units 2 and 3 We rented from Port Aransas Excapes While each of the condos was well appointed all were in a significant state of disrepair In one unit none of the electrical outlets in the living dining rooms worked we had to buy and use extension cords in 2 units Failed electrical outlets were common in all units In Unit 5 the following DID NOT work table lamps ice maker large microwave and the coffee maker All of this was reported on Tuesday the 7th and we were told they would respond and work on the many problems THEY NEVER FIXED ONE THING NEVER RETURNED CALLS NEVER ADDRESSED OUR DAILY REQUESTS For the past 15 years we have rented at least 2 condos per year on beaches in Hawaii Mexico and Costa Rica This was our WORST EXPERIENCE we rented a very remote condo 60 miles north of Porto Vallerta and when we got there it had a few problems we called and they responded the next day driving the 60 miles each way While the Lost Colony units were well located and acceptably outfitted I cannot recommend renting anything at Lost Colony due to poor operational conditions and cannot recommentd Port Aransas Escapes due to lack of customer service I am sorry the lowest rating is just POOR Guy Anchorage Alaska
