At this point most all the residents owners have left Ventura and it is nearly all renters The parking lot is pretty empty I m guessing that nearly 75 of the units are unoccupied I won't go into the countless examples too many to list but the parking rules put forth by the association are absolutely ridculous and they make life unenjoyable there for both residents and guests Another example of the HOA issue We went out for a walk one day and found that we couldn't use any of the gates leave the property When we asked about it they told us they keyed the gates and you can't leave the property unless you buy a 12 key from them The buildings and the units themselves aren't bad at all and actually in a different setting with more reasonable management we may have enjoyed living there Unfortunately it felt more like a prison camp than home That being said you'd be wise to do your homework before ever committing to this place Research reviews online talk to current or former Ventura residents and see what they think I m guessing the majority will tell you to look elsewhere
