This complex has a large number of rentals including many short term vacation rentals although strata and municipal bylaws do not permit for the complex See VRBO Air B B Vancouver Extended Stay Rent it Furnished Owner Direct etc You can even find occasional listings on travel sites The complex common areas were 2016 starting to show signs of being treated as a hotel carpets worn torn wallpaper garbage in hallways constant noise complaints even one owner saying the unit next to him was being used as a brothel which council did address Concierges complained because they're hired to help out owners but are unable to do so effectively since the short term rental owners treated them as hotel front desk clerks Strata council consists largely of short term rental owners who own MANY units within the complex Therefore complaints to strata and the property managers fell on deaf ears They say they cannot fine the short term rental owners themselves because they cannot enforce the fines on themselves The president of the strata at the time I owned was an owner of Vancouver Extended Stay who claimed their company did not allow short term rentals although listings were at the time found on their website
