Review This Building

Lived here for almost 4 years of utter hell. I regretted moving here about 2 months in and it was a countdown to get out for the following 3 and a half years. I should have known since when I moved in there were signs up saying not to let people in as homeless people were sleeping in the laundry room. Guess no one listened, as it happened a bunch more times. They also sleep outside in the back a lot. Multiple times I actually cleaned up human feces, HUMAN FECES, in the parking area. 4 times. I'll work my way up... The guy that lives in the first floor apartment is a massive pot smoker. The halls absolutely flood with the smell, yes he still lives there too, so he was a constant issue. He is friendly enough, but in that he might also kill you sort of way. He stopped me and a few people outside the building with a bunch of his friends that were all definitely on drugs once and showed us his baton and then his friends tried to convince me that herion was great.... We also had to call the fire department on him once because he was trying to build a motorized bike in his unit and had spilt a tank of gas and then proceeded to fall asleep. He then told the fire fighters that had to threaten to break down his door as he was refusing to open it for them that we were out of line for calling the cops, even though the whole building smelled like gas. Also, you can frequently find little drug baggies and heroin needles inside and outside the building. Like so frequently that I told my friends and when we were moving out they were excited to try and find one, like it was a game. And low and behold, one by the dumpster. Then there is the second floor, which is actually worse, go figure, than the first. There was the front apartment who has many tenants all the time, each one worse than the next. The first ones were strange, but kept to themselves. Then there was this couple who let their dog take large dumps all over the balcony. I took photos to send to the condo board and somehow she knew it was me and she actually wrote me a threatening letter and put it under my door. The next people started normal, but now they have a cat that they let wander the halls and they have like 100 visitors all the time in and out that all seem to have a key, pretty sure they are drug dealers. The one day I walked up to the building and I heard a weird buzzing and I peeked in and it looked like they were running a tattoo parlour. They also had a strange contraption on the balcony for a while like a cage with chicken wire and a coffee table. Luckily that was on there for a month. There was also an apartment on the second floor that had people constantly fighting and screaming in the halls. Then there was one tenant, who is since gone, luckily, that threatened to kill another tenant. (Granted that's hearsay, but I believe it). The other floors are pretty okay, so the poor 3rd and 4th floor have to walk through the jungle on the way up, but generally it's okay up there. Except for this one day I came home and there was a drugged up girl coming down from the third floor trying to open all the doors and asking people for meth. Never a dull moment. Not to mention I paid out more money in assessments in this place than anything. It was the worst investment of my life. I ended up losing over $11,000 on this place just to escape. And I think it is only going to get worse. 4 years and not one thing got better, only worse. The night before we moved out, there was a shopping cart in front of the door with crowbars in it.... and the day I moved out there was another piece of human excrement on a mat in my parking stall. That was a nice good bye. Good riddance. I would highly advise avoiding this disaster of a building, renting or buying. It's just not worth it.
