"From a Current Owner"

I own a unit and have lived in it for 1 year and then have rented it out every since. When I lived there and still is, extremely quite. I never heard the neighbors. All my neighbors were and are extremely friendly. All my tenants have been extremely happy. Issues such as a dirty carpet or any repairs have been dealt with immediately. I lived on the fourth floor and never had an issue with anyone or any thing. I found the lower floors were younger people and the upper floors were either very mature younger people or middle aged. I loved living there!

"Great Place To LIVE"

The Board of Directors have taken all the necessary actions to correct the issues that existed in the complex. They have improved the grounds, improved the original lay-out, and have installed a security system in each building (not part of the original plan). The previous complaints are based by someone who does not have respect for their neighbors (being fined for leaving trash on the balcony, how neiighbourly of him) The complex is located in a great are full of people who are proud to live there. It is located near to so many aminities, causing the area to grow and continues to be very very attrative to both families and singles.

"BS"

I Am Currently Living In A Unit. Bla Bla Bla. The "construction" Of These Buoldings Are Terrible! First Off. Everybody Who Owns A Unit Had To Sum Up A Total Of One-Million Dollars To "fix" The Failure Of The First People Who Made It, Meaning Take Out Allot Of Concrete To Put In A Proper Vapour Barrier. Then Replace The Concrete, Along With All The Other Projects Assesed Here Alledgedly Equaled A Sum Of One-Million Dollars. I Have A Picture Showing The Mass Failure Of Anybody Working On These Buildings And/Or Renovations To Them. A Recent Windstorm Struck This Area And Knocked Some Facia Off (the metal sheet-like stuff you see alongside of the bottoms and tops of your balconys) They JUST Had The One Peice I Noticed Today Replaced. And It Looks Like SHIT. You HAVE To See This. If You Drive/Walk; Whatever. Down The Main Road Towards The Underground Parkade, Look To Your Left Three Stories Up. You Will See That That One Peice Is A MASSIVE Failure. Sure What's The Big Deal Some May Say, It's The Fact That WE Pay For This Shit?? Makes You Wonder What Else These "tradesman" Do When Everybody Else Is Away. Hacks! Absolutely Terrible! As I Was Saying, If You Exit The 4000's Bulding On The Side Door, The One That When You Exit Points Directly To The Road Leading To The Garage, Look Up On The Left Side At The Third Balcony. Does Anybody Know How I Can Post This Picture? I Took It From My Suit. Thanks! And Good Luck.

OMG...seriously? This building is never gonna get finished. I bet you there will be another assessment too coming up. This is crap! When is this suppost to be all done? They are so far behind. We need a new condo board and management company!

This place has had many improvements, it is unfortunate that some bad apples are ruining the reputation of the people who live there.

Bad apples aren't the problem... money hungry board members are the problem.

too many rules
unregistered user on June 9 2012:
the rules as you say, are only for some people. One guy can store bins and stuff and his bike on his deck when others will be fined. It appears that someone has to complain and they will be notified to clean up. The board members do not notice any infractions if its their friends. Rules MUST and should apply to all not just a few. The problems you speak of are a result of poor building practices. The Board of Directors has volunteered the equivalent of full time jobs to resolve the building issues you speak of (the foundation waterproofing) to completely rectify the problem. The Board of Directors are 100% volunteer and take no money for the corporation. This is an exceptionally well managed property with with a dedicated group of knowledgeable board members and a very professional management company. The problems this condo faces, as I'm sure most condos do, is owners who are unfamiliar with the the Condo Act and what being a Condo Owner entails. Owning a condo is not like owing a single family home. The Pointe at Prestwick is a terrific place to live. For people of all ages and life stages if you want a nice place to live, where common property is taken care of and everyone rights and responsibilities are paid attention to. The Pointe at Prestwick is locationed in one of the most desirable communities in Calgary. It is close to many amenities and will only get better as the community continues to develop and amenities increase.
